Lead Teacher of Science

Due to retirement, we are looking for a passionate, dedicated, child-centred Lead Teacher of Science to work at our fantastic SEN school. We offer small class sizes, a real focus on relationships and a supportive staff team.
We welcome applications from mainstream and SEN teachers with a strong background in Science. The successful candidate will teach Science to our KS3 and KS4 learners, including up to GCSE level, and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Science across the whole school.

What we offer is a permanent full-time contract, although part-time (0.8 FTE) may be considered for the right candidate. Salary: MPS + 1 SEN point (£2,679 pa) + TLR2 (£3,391 pa). Start date: September 2025

Intervention support HLTA/TA

We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others. This role consists of working within the therapy team at Westhaven, planning and delivering interventions for learners’ needs in order to help them progress academically and socially. The successful applicant would work within Key Stage 1 & 2 (Primary) and within Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 (Secondary).

We offer a permanent 31 hours per week, Monday-Friday contract (job share considered). Salary: JG5-6 depending on qualifications and experience. Start date: September 2025

Teacher

Due to staff progression we are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEND Teacher to join our dedicated team. The role is within KS3 (although most suitable to a primary trained teacher) and will be within either the Connect and Grow strand or the Aspire and Excel strand.

We offer a part-time (3 days – Wed, Thu, Fri) or full-time permanent contract. Salary: MPS + 1 SEN point. Start date: September 2025 SEN
