We are delighted to announce that our school now has an EYFS and KS1 department and a Post 16 unit.
This now gives our learners and young people the opportunity to have the ‘rite of passage’ through different age groups and key stages in different buildings.
Our Post 16 unit is now refurbished and we are proud to say that we have our very first group of learners in W6 (Westhaven 6th form). They look very cool in their black hoodies and are very much an independent group moving towards young adulthood. They are really working hard to increase their independence skills by cooking their own lunches, managing their own money and taking responsibility for themselves (within safe boundaries!). Moving forward they will be learning a full range of independent living skills, from how to keep
yourself healthy to becoming an independent public transport user. We are proud to say they are really representing the Post 16 provision well by already showing how mature, self-motivated and hardworking they can be. Well done W6!
We are also ‘blessed’ with a brand new building for our new EYFS and KS1 learners. It is such a lovely building that has a multitude of rooms, a playground and an all-weather shelter. I would like to thank NSCC and the onsite teams who brought this project to completion in such trying times.
Our teachers have made this new building into an oasis of calm in readiness for the arrival on Monday 14th September of our twenty new learners.
Thank you to everyone involved in making our dream a reality.
Yours sincerely,
Ms Tracy Towler

I have been introduced to your school through a colleague from Ups and Downs based in Weston Zoyland.
I have an amazing 8 yr old daughter with Down syndrome and am seeking an SEN setting for her .
She has attended the local C of E primary and nursery for 5 years and has already repeated yr 1 – now repeating yr 2 .
The Devon 0-25 team have told me that a place at MillWater is not available and will not be for the foreseeable future .
I cannot and will not sit idly by and let my daughter be failed – she’s bright , sociable and has an inquisitive nature to challenge herself and learn.
I’d really appreciate your acknowledgment and comments please.
